Mayflower

An English merchant ship that, in 1620, carried roughly one hundred passengers from Plymouth, England to the coast of what is now Massachusetts, where they founded Plymouth Colony.

The voyage took 66 days under master Christopher Jones. While anchored off Cape Cod, a group of the male passengers signed the Mayflower Compact, a brief agreement of self-government that is generally regarded as the first such document drafted in New England.
